I engaged in some much needed therapy last night. The kind of therapy that makes you feel like a real person again. The kind of therapy that everybody needs from time to time (or week to week).

Of course I am speaking of retail therapy.

You see, I had a bad experience on my lunch break yesterday. I was at TJ Maxx looking at shoes and found the PERFECT pair of summer heels. They were deep royal blue, red and yellow, strappy, high heeled (but not TOO high heeled) and all together fabulous. It was love at first sight. But I was playing hard to get and made the mistake of putting them down while I finished trying on other shoes and when I returned to get them, they were gone. I should have known.

But you know I firmly believe that if you love something, set it free and if it comes back to you it’s yours and if it doesn’t it’s because some bitch who also wears a size 9 stole it from you.

Anyway, so there was that ugliness so at dinner when Adam suggested going to the mall I was all for it. And I tell you it was almost like the shopping gods were taking pity on me because I do not remember the last time I got such deals. I had made it through the wilderness.

I will give you a heads up on the three best deals though:

Macy's is having their crazy one day sale that they have like every week but it is really a true sale this time. I am talking 40% off of COACH sandals. Not to mention that, in a shocking turn of events, the shoes on the clearance racks are actually cute and normal. It is madness (the good kind)

And,

I found Lacoste polos on sale in the unlikeliest of places (well, unlikely to me). Miltons (store for men). $59 instead of the usual $72 you see in department stores/the Lacoste store. Not too shabby.

And,

Yankee Candle clearance sale! Basically the whole store is on sale. I got one of their actually-smells-good-citronella candles for Adam's mom (we are going up to Maine to visit them this weekend) for only $10! (Normally $20)

I also realized that while some women fear becoming "the old crazy lady with the cats", I fear becoming "the old crazy lady with the candles" because I freaking LOVE candles. Cannot get enough.

I just thought I'd better leave a comment because of your last post. I'm scared that you really mean once a week posts. So I'm leaving a comment about nothing at all, just incase you were serious.

I want to know how you wear heeled shoes so often... I can't do it. I love my flip-flops and doubt I could make 6 hours in heeled shoes! I wish I could...

i dont wear crazy high heels. usually only 2,2.5 inches at the most. plus i am never standing for all that long! my job = sit down 90% of the day.

I'm heading back to work in the fall so as I was in the mall this evening I was shoe browsing... I still don't think I can do much of a heel being on my feet most of the day (teacher)...oh I wish I could because there are some adorable ones out there that should be in a girls' closet!
